In August this year, I was lucky enough to attend the 9th national LGBTI health conference, organised by the National LGBTI Health Alliance. Over 300 people from Australia and New Zealand came together, including activists, community members, service providers, and university staff and students. The conference was organised into four streams:

• Ageing and Aged Care: focusing on aspects of inclusion/exclusion throughout the later stages of the life course.
• Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: focusing on the practices and approaches to improving mental health and wellbeing.
• Intersections: focused on the whole person, or the intersections of, for e.g., sexuality, gender, sex, Indigeneity, disability, religion, language, and so on.
• Practice, Connect, Celebrate: a peer learning stream which focused on sharing tools and skills developed through ongoing work in, with, and for LGBTI communities.
