Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award) – September 2025

The Fair Work Commission (FWC) is currently reviewing the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award) as part of their Gender Undervaluation Review. There are five priority awards being commenced with, for review, by the FWC. The SCHADS Award is where many of the community sector employees’ pay rates are based; and, is currently segmented into different types of work classifications. The FWC is proposing to bring all of these into one classification rate. Some of WESTIR’s concerns are expressed in the submission which we have sent to the FWC. Submissions were extended by one week to Friday, 12 September 2025.
