A GLIMPSE INTO GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS – MAY 2014

BY Niro Kandasamy

Refugee Resettlement Services (RRSs) are key players in advancing Australia’s refugee resettlement.  For decades now these services have been operating under contractual arrangements with the government.  There is little known about the impacts of these funding arrangements on RRSs and their ability to provide the necessary assistance to refugees.  This paper aims to provide a glimpse into government contracts as they impact RRSs.

This paper is based on a larger study which was undertaken over the 2013 period and provides brief insights into government contracts within the explicit field of Refugee Resettlement Services.
